Last week, we were delighted to open Kate Hill/Germinations, the PhD exhibition of artist and researcher Kate Hill. Kate's show will remain on display until the end of the day this Saturday, 15 June. Today, we are excited to announce correspondences, a retrospective exhibition (from 4 to 18 July) of sound and visual works featured in the past two years of residency programming here on-site. Special events and activities are planned alongside the exhibition, commencing with an opening to celebrate this milestone exhibition on Friday, 5 July (read on or visit our website’s Events page for details). The works displayed will be offered for sale, and with your support, we hope to generate some income through artwork sales to support our artists and correspondences' ongoing operations. We will be profiling interviews with the artists, conducted in connection with their residency experiences, as a way of entering into or returning to their work more deeply and telling you more about our publishing plans to continue supporting our alums’ practice. Later in July, we will present a solo project by former resident Ali McCann, who will return to correspondences (19 July to 17 August) to examine the archive of her performance, Social, presented in 2022. More information will be shared in the coming weeks. In closing, we warmly thank you, our audiences, for joining us for Acts of Devotion featuring dance artist Janette Hoe, the culmination of سخن دل Sokhaneh del—language/speech of the heart. Thank you, Janette, for your tender and enchanting performance. Thanks must also go to resident artists - Aarti Jadu for her transportive sound work and Inbal Nissim and Javad Kashani for their visual artworks, which provided a rich tapestry for Janette's response.
