2023 Resident Yoko Ozawa
Our first resident for 2023 will be Japan-born, Birrarungga/Melbourne-based artist Yoko Ozawa. Yoko has been making ceramics since 2003, when her graphic design and Japanese painting studies led her into pottery. Her practice is informed by a lifelong interest in natural phenomena - including seasonal transitions, fog, breeze, rain, light and shadow – and the Japanese notion of Yohaku (blank space). We can’t wait to share more about Yoko, her plans and some exciting interlinking programming we have planned! In the meantime, please visit her website via the button below to learn more about her beautiful practice. Dates: 3 March —27 May 2023
