Thank you for joining us last Friday to celebrate Part 3 - Ravi Avasti/Summa. Congratulations, Rav, on the realisation of another beautiful part. Thank you, Kate, for working tirelessly with us. Thank you also for joining us at the end of last month for our conversation with writer, poet, and editor Shastra Deo. Thank you, Shastra, for your exquisite book. This week, we’re thrilled to have writer, artist and photographer Sarah Walker working on a specially commissioned text exploring the final part of Ravi’s project. Watch this space for its release. Please pop by for a visit before Ravi’s show concludes on Saturday, 21 December. We’re open late this evening from 6 pm. Or, we have two remaining special activities - our Studio drop-in this Saturday (14 December) and our final Open Late/Multilingual Poetry Reading Circle on Friday, 20 December. Visit our events calendar to learn more. To receive a catalogue of Ravi’s work offered for sale, which also features a long-form interview with the artist, press the button below. Connecting an artist with their audiences through sales is one of the great privileges of running our space. Please reach out if you are interested. We’d love to help. From Sunday, 22 December, we close for a studio break, reopening in February as a bookshop, profiling our books of fiction, non-fiction and poetry offered for sale. The January closure will allow us to undertake maintenance and focus on publishing and two other special projects, including our upcoming residency, Inciting Joy, featuring future soul artist Tiana Khasi and photographic artist writer and researcher Cecilia Sordi Campos. More exciting details to follow. In closing, last Friday, we also celebrated our amazing Volunteer team, the brilliant, talented group who continue to support what we do. Team, some of you could not join us, but you were with us in spirit. Thank you, thank you. Finally, our work is supported by Arts Merri-Bek. We sincerely thank the Council for their support. Your vote of confidence is everything.
Warmly
