Congratulations, thank you & join us for serpent & dove & Xmas cheer.
In November, we were thrilled to host two special events in connection with Ali McCann's residency project, Campus: A study of educational, domestic, and deep dark space (In perpetual flux), 2022.
Firstly, Ali and artistic physicist Raghda Abdel Khaleq chatted with our audiences about the fascinating interconnecting worlds of art and science. Thank you, Raghda and Ali, for taking us on a tour of galaxies and ideas far, far away. Secondly, we presented Ali McCann's Social, featuring a soundscape by composer Mat Watson and live performances by Hanako Müller, Sascha Müller and Pearl Gross. Congratulations Mat. Your hypnotic sound score left us all spellbound and provided the foundation for equally spellbinding direction and choreography by Ali and performances by Hanako, Sascha and Pearl.
Thank you, Annika Kafcaloudis and Tim Hillier, for taking great care in documenting the performance for us. Some of Annika's beautiful photographs are shown here. A stunning videography by Tim is forthcoming.
Congratulations, Ali, for this brilliant new development in your practice. Thank you for giving yourself wholly to the residency process and trusting us to support this exciting project.
We want to thank YOU, our audiences, for visiting the exhibition space and being present for Ali's performance and conversation events throughout her residency. It means a great deal to have your engagement.
Tomorrow evening, we're delighted to be opening our first exhibition in connection with the correspondences Colleagues Program, curated by Miffy Lau and featuring the work of Jiaxin Nong and Ringo Lo (details below).
We'd love you to join us for the opening. Or our Art Walk this Saturday. In closing, on Friday, 9 December, we will be doing our correspondences After Dark, with a little Xmas market twist. Swing by for a bit of shopping and a glass of one of our lovely plum wines.
We hope to see you soon!
Warmly correspondences Studio
