Harmonious Eccentricity with Emma Ovenden & Elyss McCleary continues. Join us for this Friday’s intimate performance with Emma. The second week of Harmonious Eccentricity is underway. We are delighted to have just installed Elyss' first historical painting alongside a selection of quilts, beaded drawings, and a video by Emma.
Golden sherbet waves pash, I want to be on a beach with you with a pine lime splice, 2018 is making us nostalgic for summer, lovers and pine lime splices. Come in and experience this sublime work in person. It’s beyond words.
Emma is also working on a beautiful new beaded piece - this time at a larger scale. The work in progress is on display. She’ll add to it each week when she comes into the space to work.
Meanwhile, Elyss has been playing with watercolours here on-site and working in the studio behind the scenes, making a new large-scale oil painting (or something else, we’ll see) that draws inspiration from Emma’s sounds. In particular, Emma’s album Parameter (Parts I and II), which you can access via her Bandcamp site.
Please join us this Friday (9/2) for an intimate live performance with Emma. Elyss will also come along to listen and sketch a little. To book your ticket, please press the button below.
In closing, thank you to our guests who attended the first Multilingual Poetry Reading Circle for 2024 on Friday. Your beautiful contributions made it a lovely evening. A post with details of the poems shared is forthcoming.
