On the last Saturday, every two months, we gather together to have afternoon tea and conversation. It’s our unofficial tea-making class and just an opportunity to drink tea together and have a chat.
From 3-3:30pm, we steep our teas together, focusing on our beautiful teas from Brunswick-based Impala and Peacock and Kyoto-based Marukyu-Koyamaen. We’ll cover the basics of tea ware, steeping etc Afterwards, we drink tea together and share some lovely sweets from Morning Market while chatting about what we are all listening to, reading or watching at the cinema or on TV.
What we’ll cover:
—Tea serving/making ware.
—Important tips for steeping and getting the most out of your leaves
—Storage
What’s included:
—Tasting of each tea type.
—A pot of tea and sweet of your choosing to enjoy after the class formalities.
